Proud moment - Rivan Meyer

So, when I opened the local newspaper (Die Republikein) this morning, 'sommer so whoa!' just like that, I see my friend in the newspaper.

Rivan Meyer: Manager: Internet Banking. I am so proud of him. Still couldn't get a hold of him, because of meetings and stuff, lol. But my word, am so proud of him that I can't keep it to myself. This is so long overdue and he really deserves it.

Congratulations my friend. I can still recall the day we were talking about moving forward when you said; I just hope that it can happen already and that you don't understand why it's taking forever. And my response was: patience my friend, the right time will come, and you'll be suprised.

I am happy for you, very happy and I know you have a wonderful wife: Gaynor Meyer by your side supporting you.

New King for the Netherlands!

Been watching the float yesterday of the King sailing on the Amsterdam with his family and a lot of boats taking part in the float.

I think it's amazing how so many royal families exist and sometimes we don't even notice or take note of them, but I truly enjoy this monarchy and find it quite interesting as well.

So, Queen (now Princess Beatric of the Netherlands) decided to abdicate her position because she believes that the responsibilities of the Netherlands should be taken care of by a new generation. I personally think this is a good decision and that it's of the best interest of the nation.

But as always, there will be a lot of rumours as to why she did it and one of it, as I've expected is because the job has become too hard, lol. Sometimes we people just want to say what we want to neh, and believe it sommer, lol.

The reasons she gave for her abdication in her speech are the following:
- She turned 75 in 2013
- The Dutch monarchy came into existence exactly 200 years ago in 2013, starting a new time in the Dutch history.

Having these two special celebrations in one year, she decided to give the throne to her son, current Crown Prince (King) Willem-Alexander. This was also not a decision made just out of the spur of the moment. She had been wondering about this for a few years now.

 

Well, all I can say; Hope that King Willem-Alexander will keep the legacy growing and make his mother proud. King Willem-Alexander is the head of the Dutch royal house and the House of Amsterdam. He's the first male monarch of the Netherlands since the death of William III in 1980.

Release date: "Revenge wears prada"

You guys might remember my post about the sequel for 'The Devil wears Prada'. The titel of the sequel is Revenge wears Prada, interesting title and as mentioned in my previous post, I can't wait for it to be released.

Well, I've found out that the book will hit the shelfs June, 4th, 2013 which mad eme very happy, as a count down started, lol. This is exactly a month and 22 days away.

The very red cover of the book is very intiguing and will capture a lot of attention, but the story line or rather preview is just as catching.

A short preview of the book below:

I seriously can't wait to get this book, thus I've pre-ordered it on Amazon. I believe that this is going to be a great read and I would love to see how things are played out.

Realisation!!!

After a lot of struggle, frustration and boredom, here I am...

As humans we tend to want to take things in our own strength and stride, but we forget that there is a higher power and the universe playing a big difference in our lives. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that we should sit back and expect things to just happen. We need to and yes, it's our responsibility to take that first step and dream!!!
The Universe only works with what she receives from us and she can only manifest on what she receives.

You might say: "But I am dreaming" and my next question will be, so, what are you doing about and with your dreams?

Everything in life starts with a dream or a thought, but things needs to be done in order to make it a success or make it a reality. Don't expect things to be easy at the end of the day, because it's not going to be, am not going to lie about this fact. It's tough as hell, lol. You should remain focus, should have the crown in site always and should want to have it for yourself. It should not be someone elses goal or dream, but your own.

Yes, all of you might be asking, but hey, whats up with this post, lol... I am happy to say that things are looking better... We should learn to trust and have faith, cause even the times when we are down and struggling and thinking that we're loosing, we should never loose hope. We should always push forward. Never ever give up!!!

We've got to learn to dust ourselves off and try again. But it's important to know where you are, where you're going and what direction to follow. Forget about getting lost, it's normal even with a map, lol. It just depends on what version of the map you have. Things change along the way, so you need to keep up on the changes and the trends, lol.

Watch this spave my dear people, it's about to blossom, lol.

Treat it as such, and believe me, things will make more sense at the end of the day.

I love you all and I believe that 2013 is THE year, let's make changes, let's allow ourselves to evolve...

Vogues new Girl for their Eyewear!

Vogue has found a new muse for their well known and sophisticated eyewear, for the new range (drummmmmmmm rooooooollllllllll) : Ms. Eva Mendes and believe me, she's doing a fantastic job.

 

 

 

 

Eva is a fashion goddess and an internationally-claimed actress. Beautiful “biets” and I must say also very talented. I just love the way she’s working the different frames and shapes of these babies. She makes it look so effortless (the modeling of course, lol).

 

Inspired by the trends seen on the runway and the feminine frames have strong personality and are totally sophisticated as well and fantastically showed off by Eva. What Ms. Mendes had to say about the range: “I really love glasses. Whether they are prescription glasses or sunglasses, they are an extension of your personality and such a fantastic accessory I love to mix and match and play with different looks, depending on my mood and my outfit. My favourites are frames that have a slightly retro feel, and I feel comfortable in this range...” 

 

 

 

 

Eva is a 39 year old actress, model, singer and she's even got her fingers in homeware designing, quite busy if you ask me...

Please do yourself a favour and go see the following movies: Once upon a time in Mexico, Out of time and Girl in Progress if you haven't seen it before and if you have, it's fantastic movies to watch again, lol (that's what I do)...

When does one start a count down?

Oh well, it's been tough and hectic, everything has just been going kakkies my side, but I can atleast celebrate a few things.

Haven't posted a review of 2012 as yet even, because I've been trying to write it for the past 2 months I think. Keep on erasing and replacing and re-typing stuff, but that is still coming, lol. (Is it late, well, not to me, it's still gonna be my review, lol).

Well, this post is about everything that happened over the past 2/3 weeks and sommer also about everything in general, lol. Damn, crazy, I know, but bare with me, lol.

Anyhoo, the count down started officially for when I will be done here in the current department. I don't really know whether there is a criteria or specific requirement or specification as to when one can start a count down, but well, mine started today and it's gonna last a month, lol.

Time for new adventures and new experiences. I will be back, I guess sooner then later, but for now, I need a breather. Yes, its 2013 and time for new experiences and a lot more sacrafices in order to achieve that. Will be starting a new job on then 2nd of April 2013, but my count down started today till the 21st of March 2013 (Namibia's Independence day), because that's the day that I will be done in this office... sad, but time to move on...

Then I am overly excited to see my friend (Nafeesa) coming on the 3rd of March, lol, will be picking her up at the airport!!!! (Jump for joy, lol)... I smell a road trip by the end of March, lol.

Oh boy, can you guys remember how nail bitting crazy my exam's were, I think I've mentioned it somewhere here!!! Well, I am glad to tell you that I've passed all my modules, am so happy about that, with everything I went through at the time, but yeah, hardwork do pay off hey? We should just never give up, never ever in our lives.

I wonder what the problem is with the weather in Namibia, god dammit, it's hot and we haven't really received any rain thus far, hope that things will get better soonest.

And then we heard about Oscar Pistorius, quite sad though, but well, let's hear and see what the judges/law have to say about that, neither of us were there and worst of all Reeva also can't testify to say what really happened, so it's OP and evidence.

Well chickas, it's 2013 and a wonderful year with so many opportunities and so many good things with a lot of challenges though, but nothing is worth it, if we didn't work hard for it, so let's do this: "Vamos dar o ano por os chifres."

Kanye & Kim are expecting!!!

They both confirmed it on different occasions, and Kim confirmed it on her blog here.

They look so happy and so inlove, this is so beautiful.

Yes, they are expecting and are very happy. Kim says that she feels blessed... I am quite excited and can't wait, lol. I've literally glowed with excitement when I heard the news, lol, dramatic I know, but all should know how I love my Kim.
