Meredith in WHK!

So, it's easter weekend. Meredith, a friend of mine from Cape Town landed Wednesday for the long weekend.

We've planned a hectic weekend for her. So, it already started the Thursday afternoon after work. Just decided to chill and catch up a bit at home before the night begins. As always, be prepared when there's a night outing planned with Uda and myself. So, Meredith decided to drink a bit of water before we start, lag. We spoke about literally everything and really had a lot of fun.

We've been to one entertainment place called "Chill Out", well no pictures of that place, because when we got there I was almost sloshed already. And believe me, I don't risk taking pictures in that state, lag.

This is the morning after. Greatia as always after a night out, has a "darkies" on. Poor eyes couldn't stand the sun, but it wasn't the end of the weekend. We just had to get ready in order to join the fam at the "Paaltjies" for our family braai.

The Sage men! Me!!!!

The Sagittarius man’s vision of love is an interesting paradox: he wants a mate who makes him feel free. Mmm-kay. Talk about doing things the hard way. If you want to be free, stay single, right?

Well, that’s what most people would do, but he’s not most people. Sagittarius is the sign of the gambler. The odds (and the gods) tend to favor him. Once he’s satisfied his adventure quota, the Sag man suddenly grows lonely exploring the world by himself. Out of nowhere, he begins to crave a companion to join his eternal seeking. Our Sagittarius friend Dan, a television producer, describes his own maturity as sudden and fast. “I just woke up and started going back over everything in my life, all my relationships and everything I’d done,” says Dan. “It happened in an instant.” At that point, his bachelorhood no longer becomes quite the prize it once was, and he yearns to share his life.

The mature Sagittarius can make an excellent, though intense, partner. Only a well-ripened Sagittarius should be plucked off the vine, and he’s pretty much useless as a mate until then. Once he “grows up,” he’s like a kid with severe ADHD whose Ritalin suddenly kicks in. After tearing through life like a crazed bull in a china shop (or occasionally, moping along like Eeyore), he morphs into a serene Buddha figure, floating above the chaos.

At this point, the Sagittarius man’s best qualities come out—like wisdom, empathy and generosity. He’s able to put his full focus on a partner and champion your visions. Your relationship and shared life become his new adventure, his mega-sized project. He loves to coach, mold and direct, and as long as you absorb his teachings, he’ll gladly be your guru.

Be sure to keep him a little in check, though. Sagittarius is the know-it-all sign, and he can be quite a bulldozer. Partnership skills like compromise, negotiation and delayed gratification don’t come naturally to him. It’s healthy for him to learn that the word “no” actually can apply to him. Left to his own devices, he’ll do whatever he wants, and just assume you’ll come around eventually.

So, my friend/flatmate/everything in my life/sister/everything, lag decided to call me from her room in the same flat to wake me up at 08:00. Now, you need to imagine, I am always the one that can't sleep late and is the first one to do the crawling in the flat after a night out, but just couldn't move myself to get out of bed.

She joined me second after the phone call in my bed, just to force me to get up. Dammit, sometimes I really just want to sleep, kwaaaak. But anyways, the two of went downstairs and started cleaning, but we were very simple at the same time as well. Joking and laughing our asses off.

Uda then started cooking, eto, 10:00 in the morning she was cooking up a storm, I still don't know what to call that, cause it definately wasn't breakfast, neither lunch, but you also can't call it brunch, it was some good shit and so much, lol. But that's Uda for you.

Anyhoo, later our guests got up as well. They still just can't understand how we do it, cause we went to bed like 4:30AM or something from the club, and we were up at 08:00.

We planned on making it to some fun day volley ball game something, something, but believe me we've never made it there. We were just home the whole of Saturday, enjoying company of friends.

Yes, Tashia rocked up there as well and we were so having a ball. Laughing, joking and having a lot of fun.


Ok, Ok, yes, Uda (Aka Khloe) found her Greg (Aka Lamar).We're still quite in shock, Uda as well because of the fact that she has a boyfriend, and don't they just look gorgeous together. Sometimes we need to remind them to breath, lag.

Richie also joined later the day, and he had an AHA moment with Uda and Myself. But I def can't reveal that here, lag.

Well, it was indeed a wonderful weekend again, with so many good friends spending time togethe and enjoying each other's company. It was really wonderful to have them over, the only problem after such a party or gathering at your flat/house is the cleaning up of the next day/morning.

But we had fun, fun, fun.

Crazy, unplanned weekend turned out to be a bomb!

This past weekend was just one crazy weekend. I've decided to just go home Friday afternoon after work and just go rest, as I woke up a bit sick.

It started off great, as I went home and was just relaxing, cause that's what I was planning, to sit home and just be lazy, until George called me and asked whether they can come over just for a few drinks.

We started off with a few beer, which was great and of course, that's the smokers corner, lag.

We ended up showing off some dance move on some old school jams, but it was pumping in our little flat, but we were having such a great time.

We then ended up in a club, all with persuasion of Uda. Og, that one dearest friend of mine ended up having such a great time. I sersiouly can't remember the rest of the night and that's the reason the pictured ended at the flat. ***HIDES****

But at the end of the day what counts is that fact that we had a lot of fun!

8:30PM - Earth hour 2012

This is so exciting, like seriously: Earth hour 2012!!!

What an amazing initiative: Thanks to wikipedia, I could give you the origin and the reason or inspiration to the initiative, lag. What will I ever do without Wiki, my bestest friend.

"Earth Hour is a worldwide event that is organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and is held on the last Saturday of March annually, encouraging households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change. Earth Hour was conceived by WWF and The Sydney Morning Herald in 2007, when 2.2 million residents of Sydney participated by turning off all non-essential lights.^[1] Following Sydney's lead, many other cities around the world adopted the event in 2008.^[2][3] Earth Hour 2012 will take place on March 31, 2012 from 8:30p.m. to 9:30p.m., at participant's local time."

Read this on a friend's blog and am quite impressed with the people participating, I am definately setting a reminder on my smartphone to also be part of change and enjoy and celebrate Earth Hour 2012.

So make sure you’re part of this global phenomenon by switching off all lights at 8:30pm tomorrow. Light candles, pop a cork and declare it champagne o’ clock. Braai with your mates."

Song Night with my lovely Nafeesa from JHB!

You might remember this, song night is an event that takes place every last Wednesday of the month, so end of February we went to song night and I've invited my new friend Nafeesa from JHB to join us. I was actually very concerned as to how she'll fit in with all my crazy and weird bunch of friends. Well, I must say, Nafeesa is also not that quiet and normal either, lag. Love you Nafee.

The way Mercedez always take over the show, lag. But I think she broke the ice with Nafeesa, cause after that picture Nafee was all loosen up and she started mingling with everyone.

Yes, it was a fantastic night with the singing and everything that happened!

Just a little bit about song night: It a Bank Windhoek Arts sponsored event, organised by Lize Ehlers and hosted at the 99FM Theater (Playhouse Theater). This is an event for upcoming singers to showcase their talent and I must say, some of them sound better then these Mickey mouse singers of these days.

Swartz's celebration weekend on their farm.

So, I got an invite like some time back which involved a camping indication somewhere! I totally enjoy camping and the nature and the outdoor. So, I didn't even think about it, I've RSVP immediately.

It was some celebration invitation, hence I've named the weekend, our celebration weekend!

The journey started the Saturday morning just round about 12:00. The car was packed and we were on the road minutes after that. We prepared ourselves for some 130 km drive south from Windhoek, passing Rehoboth.

 We had a very good drive and then 60 km before we got to Rehoboth we decided to pull over and enjoy the scenery. Nafeesa is from JHB (I still love you too bits lover), so as you all know they really can't enjoy some beautiful scenes, but it's Namibia again, it's just one beautiful country PERIOD!!! I so so love Namibia, this is just home.

We've continued on our road trip, so excited and couldn't wait to get to the farm. Alex was also very excited to see the farm, and he was quite a good boy the whole road down to the farm.

As we were driving on the B1 to the south, we had to look to our left in order to get an indicator that would show us the turn off to the farm. And my friend Tani B, as creative and innovative as she is did this or let me rather said she ordered or delegated that this should be done. But this was a brilliant idea and we sommer got the farm quick quick.

Then when we got to the farm, obviously went on the greeting spree and then saw Tani B and we were one again. Always in the same boat, lag. I had some broken fingers, Tani B was bumped by a crazy guy while she was cycling, but we laughed about it after all, lag.

When the people said that the party is starting, we were like in huh? Obviously, because we were already partying, lag. We were really just having fun and it was all worth the drive. Later we've realised that we should maybe setup our tents before it gets too dark, and was that a mission and a half.

 Well, those were the last pictures that was actually taken on my camera, still need to get a hold of Tani B and exchange some pictures.

After a very interesting and fun weekend, we headed home on Sunday morning round about 10:00, cause we still wanted to stop at my parents in Rehoboth and then visit the Oanob Dam (Or rather show Nafeesa).

Alex chose a perfectly fantastic and comfy spot on Nafee's lap while she was driving back to sleep. He's such an attention seeker, but tog te quite.

 So, at Oanob Dam, my brother decided to take some adventure and wanted to row. It was quite fun though, I had my own "adventure adrenaline orgasmic attack", lag!!!

And as I was rowwing they've decided to swim in the dam, my mother was totally overeacting at this point, cause she wasn't really at ease with them in the dam.

 We've seen this beautiful coincidence when we drove down and decided that we're going to capure it on our way back and yes, this is phenominally beautiful. Breath taking, I just loves this picture.

We were completely exhausted when we got in Windhoek and just literally took showers and slept till the next day, but it was all worth it. A fantastic weekend and thanks to Tani B and Stoffel, it was a great get away at the same time.
