Some Some about Sagittarius! ME, ME, ME!!!

SO, today I just feel very, very indifferent, I just don't know what to do or what to expect any more and it is a very tough situation am in at the moment, because I am also a very indecisive person in general.

A little about a Sagittarius person:

  • Your Most Likeable traits: Optimistic, Independent & Adventurous
  • SYMBOL: The Archer (Representing directness, high aims, a love of the heavens)
  • Ruling Planet: Jupiter
  • Element: Fire
  • Dominant Keyword: I SEE.
  • Magical Birthstone: Turquoise (Attracts love, protects from harm & gives its wearer the ability to see into the future)
  • Special Flowers: Narcissus, Holly & Dandelion
  • Special Color: Purple (Uncommon color of royalty and the artistic)
  • Lucky Numbers: 5 & 7
  • Lucky Day: Thursday
  • Part of the body ruled by Sagittarius: The Liver, the Hips & the Thighs

  • Then, I went further and found my horoscope for today or what the stars are saying and this is what I've found:

Today's Sagittarius Horoscope from Cafe Astrology
    August 15, 2012
Today, the quick tempo of the day shouldn't leave you behind, dear Sagittarius. You're embracing the energy. Just be careful that you don't get into a crash-and-burn state. In your social interactions today, you might sense tension and hidden agendas, particularly with a lover. There can be shows of independence or circumstances that strongly suggest to you that changes are in order. Be sure to look for hidden meanings or messages so that you can learn from your experiences now, even if immaturity seems to be prevailing around you.
Creativity: Good ~ Love: Fair ~ Business: Good

Crazy though, and it really makes me wonder everytime, because at this point of time, as I've mentioned before in my indifferent state, this is not good, lol.

But I am going to wait and see how this day/week unfolds.

    Happy Wednesday my chikas.

Anna Piaggi - Italian fashion writer and style icon.

Anna Piaggi, Vogue Italia fashion contributor died today in her Milan home. She was 81 years old.

With her kiss-curled blue hair, pencil-ringed eyes, colourful canes, and fantastic hats, Anna Piaggi was unmistakable and unmistakably influential.

She was always seen in the front row of fashion week and most popular fashion shows.

She was indeed a woman with a different kind of style and introduced a different fashion to the Italians and the world in general. R.I.P Anna!!! You'll definately be missed.

    USAIN BOLT: Is it normal???

I must confess, I don't like him. Really, I just don't like him, nothing that he did or nothing that he said or no specific reason, lol. I just like them others, Tyson Gay, Yohan Blake, Justin Gatlin, lol. But I need to say, WOW!!! Big ups to Bolt: NEED FOR SPEED!!!

“I want to be iconic,” proclaims the Jamaican sprinter, whose 9.58-second flash run in the 100 easily puts him in violation of some small-town speed limits. “That’s my mind-set. It’s why I’m still in the game.”

Legs churning fast, arms swinging high, Usain Bolt finally made it to warp speed a few steps past the halfway point of the Olympic 100 meters. Emerging from behind, he put clear daylight between himself and the field.

His victory in the 100 on Sunday against training partner Yohan Blake, Americans Justin Gatlin and Tyson Gay and the rest of the star-studded field promptly and emphatically shut down all the questions about his fitness and dedication — questions that only grew louder after losses to Blake in both sprints five weeks ago at Jamaica's Olympic trials.

Lightning strikes twice. And it lit up London. After all the rumours and theories about his supposedly lessening powers, all the technobabble and psychobabble about why he was not the same Usain Bolt we saw in Beijing, the fastest man on the planet gave the world his answer – and gave it with both barrels right between the eyes.

He proved it again. He is indeed the fastest men on earth and damn, that was a magnificent run.

    Till next time Chikas.

Olympic games to kick off 27th of July 2012.

The London Olympics opening ceremony will be a grand spectacle — but will it be a surprise?

So, coming Friday, the 27th of July 2012 at around 9pm, the opening ceeremony of the Olympic games will kick off with the sound of a 27 ton bell. The largest harmonically tuned bell in the world — forged at London’s 442-year-old Whitechapel Bell Foundry, which made London’s Big Ben and Philadelphia’s Liberty Bell.

The opening theme is: “Isles of Wonder,” inspired by William Shakespeare. Interesting indeed.

Amelia Hempleman-Adams poses with the Olympic Flame on top of a London Eye pod on the Torch Relay leg through London.

I've been following the relay of the Torch for like more then 52 days, and it is amazing who participated in this relay, which is really fantastic. I believe that this Olympic games are going to be shared by a lot of celebrities and friends.

I wonder whether the royalties will also attend the ceremony or whether they'll be seen somewhere at the Olympic games.

Tower Bridge over the Thames River displays the iconic Olympic rings to welcome athletes, spectators and visitors to the 2012 Summer Games.

So, the count down for myself started Sunday, and now there's only like 4 or 3 and a half days left, yipppeeee.

So, if you try to contact me and you can't get a hold of me, just know that I will be in London attending the Olympic games, really sorry...

    Till later chikas.

Is What I'm Feeling Infatuation or Love?

RED FLAG THOUGHTS: “You are my life. I can't live without you.”

There are some feelings we have when infatuated that we don’t have when we’re feeling love. Some of the “symptoms” of infatuation are; feelings of panic, uncertainty, overpowering lust, feverish excitement, impatience, and/or jealously.

When infatuated, we are thrilled, but not happy, wanting to trust, yet suspicious. There are lingering, nagging doubts about our “partner in infatuation” and their love for us. We’re miserable when they’re away, almost like we’re not complete unless we’re with them. It’s a rush and it’s intense. It’s difficult to concentrate. And most infatuation relationships have a high degree of sexual charge around them. Somehow being with them is not complete unless in ends in some type of sexual encounter.

Do any of these “symptoms” resemble feelings of love? Hardly. So why do we become infatuated? Where does it come from? Perhaps it’s biological.

When infatuated we experience a surge of dopamine that rushes through the brain causing us to feel good. Norepinephrine flows through the brain stimulating production of adrenaline (pounding heart). Phenylethalimine (found in chocolate) creates a feeling of bliss. Irrational romantic sentiments may be caused by oxytocin, a primary sexual arousal hormone that signals orgasm and feelings of emotional attachment. Together these chemicals sometimes override the brain activity that governs logic.

The body can build up tolerances to these chemicals so it takes more of the substance to get that special feeling of infatuation. People who jump from relationship to relationship may be craving the intoxicating effects of these substances and may be “infatuation junkies”.

When the chemical flood dries up, the relationship either moves into a loving romantic one or there is disillusionment, and the relationship ends.

    Thanx to: http://www.selfcreation.com/love/infatuation.htm

    What is Romantic Love?

A romantic relationship is one where you have a deep feeling of connection to the other person. You accept them as they are, want them to feel good, and deeply appreciate who they are. They fit in with most of your preferences in a life partner, i.e.; personality, life goals, beliefs and value systems, etc. One of the ways you desire to express your love for them through your sexuality. Sex is the one key element that distinguishes a romantic relationship from all other types.

    Windhoek Jazz Festival!!!

The Old Mutual Jazz Encounters, as it was formerly known was officially handed over to the City of Windhoek during a ceremony at the posh Hilton Hotel earlier this month. The popular event, which grew in leaps and bounds since it was first introduced at Zoo Park in 2007, will be known as the Windhoek Jazz Festival from now on.

Having been around this event since its inception five years ago, I must say that the event grew tremendously and Old Mutual really did a great job in past years.

DB Audio, AdForceDDB, Air Namibia, Hilton Hotel, 99FM, National Arts Council of Namibia and Heineken are the other partners of the Windhoek Jazz Festival.

This year’s event will be staged at the Hage Geingob Stadium on November 3.

I got an e-mail this morning with the official poster that's out introducing the event for this year and setting the date. Fantastic, I can't wait for this year's Jazz festival, I believe that it's going to be bigger, would be exciting to see who the organizers are bringing to Namibia this year for a great Jazz entertainment.

    Hope to see everyone there.

    Ciao Chikas!

    BW Brand Ambassadors!!

About a month or so ago, Bank Windhoek's brand ambassadors got together for a meet and greet conference. This was a great success and I believe that everyone enjoyed themselves a lot.

The morning we started off with the conference with a lot of activities, introductions and chit chats.

We had to do a few activities, which was indeed a lot of fun, as you will see from the pictures.

As usual, I was busy multi-tasking, lol. Was listening and giving my babies (Phones) some attention as well.

Then we got some scripts to learn in order to present.

Just a quick something about myself, I have a phobia to stand and talk infront of a room full of people, but I must say, I did good, lol.

We had to do a role play as well and my group sommer decided to do a little dance as well.
It was indeed a very successful day and we had so much fun and at the same time we've learned so much at this conference. A lot of our inner fears were challenged, which was indeed a good thing, as we as the brand ambassadors will have to take our branches and departments under one umbrella and change a few things within our departments to make it a so much better environemnt and place to work in.

This is a very good initiative from BW, as this really makes everyone feel part of a team to interact and be a part of a changing body.

The evening we had a Gala event for all the brand ambassadors and I must say, this was way beyond any of ours expectations. The organizing crew went all out.

It was a formal dress up event.

I don't have much of the pictures of the evening, but some that I took and got from some other ambassadors.
I love this woman below in the picture with me. We've met like a year ago on our training trip to Johannesburg and boy oh boy, we had so much fun on that trip and we really got to know each other on some other level.
    Loretta and Myself
    ME!!!

    Chaldun, Ingrid and Me!
Chaldun was also on the training trip to Johannesburg last year! Ingrid on the other had is from Zambia, I've met her that night and she's one fantastic woman. She's the Product and Market Analyst in Zambia at Cavmont bank. Fantastic, free spirited and wonderful person.

These two were the best dressed male and female for the evening and they came as a couple. I must really say, they looked very good! Their outfits matched and they were on point with the dress code.

The food and drinks were also very good. I would've preferred another wine though, but that was all the bar had in stock. It was a very comfortable dry red wine, and went down very smoothly though.

The food was tasty and very fresh (One thing I hate about events like this some times is the fact that you can taste that the food are not realy that fresh, but I must say, this was out of this world).

Well, that was an extraordinary day and evening.

    Till next time chickas!

    Mwah!!!
